Heavy rain Sunday flooded homes, businesses and streets in Flagstaff's neighborhood, and the Arizona Daily Star reported a person missing in Flagstaff. Officials said the current swept one man away, and he was later found dead. By Monday morning, street sweepers were still clearing mud, and many buildings wore a thin, muddy ring about eight inches above the ground.
