- ➤ Coconino County schools will use $4 million in grant funding to build a local pipeline of counselors through a partnership with NAU. School superintendent Cheryl Mango-Paget said the effort aims to lower student-to-counselor ratios and boost mental health access in rural communities (ongoing). AZ Family

- ➤ Flagstaff's Commission on Inclusion and Adaptive Living is suspended until spring as the local chairperson said the break is appropriate—petitioners remain frustrated. Arizona Daily Sun
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Northern Arizona Healthcare added Dr. Emily Mammenga as a psychiatrist to Flagstaff Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Department on Dec. 23; she is accepting patients. She earned her degree from Sanford School of Medicine and completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls. KAFF
