- ➤ Flagstaff’s iconic Great Pinecone Drop (started in 1999 at the Weatherford Hotel) ranked No. 7 on USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards list as one of the nation’s best New Year's Eve drops, with more than 10,000 people gathering at Aspen Avenue and Leroux Street. AZ Family
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Hobbs and Flagstaff leaders officially opened The Lantern transitional housing on Tuesday, adding 130 beds to support over 400 daily guests at Flagstaff Shelter Services (which offers wrap-around programs to help residents move into permanent housing) amid ongoing measures to ease local housing challenges. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Northern Arizona Red Cross chapter is seeking local organizations to host blood drives and community members to serve as blood donor ambassadors in Flagstaff.
