- ➤ On Tuesday, over 1,000 families received food at Northern Arizona University during the Flagstaff Family Food Centers’ holiday drive—supported by 250 volunteers and boosted 30% to meet rising need. The food center remains open five days a week for those still in need. AZ Family

- ➤ Multiple downtown Flagstaff businesses will host events before Christmas—post-Thanksgiving offers will give shoppers a chance to enjoy seasonal deals and festive activities. Arizona Daily Sun
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Since 2016, the Fiesta Sports Foundation has supported Arizona teachers with its Wishes For Teachers program and this year awarded $1.5 million in grants to a record 540 educators including several in Flagstaff. Flagstaff art teacher Autumn Lavis received a $2,500 grant to expand her ceramics program + the program has granted more than $8.2 million to date. KAFF

- ➤ Construction on the I-17 wildlife overpass south of Flagstaff is halted for winter starting Nov. 26, and major work is nearly done & crews will resume in spring to finish the crossing for full use by mid 2026. KAFF
