- ➤ Lowell Observatory has cut staff and research positions — a change driven by shrinking grant funding — as it shifts to private endowments to support two mission science areas. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flagstaff launched the Wildfire Resilient Homes Initiative — a program with the Fire Department and Sustainability Office that gives free home assessments, wildfire kits, and grants up to $600 to help residents remove flammable materials from the area near their homes. - ➤ The City of Flagstaff launched a new interactive map that shows short-term rental locations and their emergency contact details to help residents quickly address issues like noise and parking.
