  • Northern Arizona University announced its new fundraising campaign—Elevate—that aims to raise $300 million; it is the largest campaign in the university’s history designed to support future initiatives.  Arizona Daily Sun

HEALTH NEWS

  • Coconino County health officials confirmed that a patient from Mohave County claimed to be vaccinated yet exposed people to measles in Phoenix and Flagstaff last week. The patient visited a hotel and concert venue on Nov 5 and the Flagstaff Mall food court on Nov 6 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.—prompting mall management to work with officials as the outbreak continues.  AZ Family
  • Local gardeners in Flagstaff are advised to adjust home canning practices — especially at high elevation — to ensure jars seal correctly and reduce the risk of spoilage. Experts say following these safe processing guidelines will help make preserved produce safe to eat.  Arizona Daily Sun
