- ➤ High County Humane will present its inaugural Galaxies and Gratitude semiformal casino night at Lowell Observatory campus in Flagstaff to raise funds for shelter animals. Arizona Daily Sun
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Arizona State Parks and Trails received a $585,000 grant — part of the Route 66 Revitalization Program — to fund eligible commercial and civic properties along rural stretches of the Route 66 corridor. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ Following ideas from a Vitalyst housing study, FUSD is thinking about giving land to the county agency so affordable houses can be built. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ The City of Flagstaff will repave sections of Cedar Avenue and West Street from Monday, Oct. 27 through Saturday. Crews will work on one half at a time — one lane in each direction will remain open — and later return for utility work — including valve adjustments and striping — while temporary access restrictions and traffic delays are expected.
