- ➤ The National Park Service announced that selected areas on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon will partially reopen on Oct. 1, with access available from sunrise to sunset at Highway 67 to the W1 road at mile marker 11, Cape Royal Road to Point Imperial and Cape Royal, and at Fire Point and Swamp Ridge—open until Nov. 30 or the first snowfall.
