  • Flagstaff residents will gather at Murdoch Center to discuss a city plan announced earlier this year to raise downtown parking rates from $1 to $2.  Arizona Daily Sun

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District firefighters died in a head-on crash on state Route 260 between Heber-Overgaard and Show Low, and their remains were carried home in a solemn procession yesterday—more than two dozen first responders joined the tribute.  AZ Family

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Flagstaff Fire Department conducted a (15-acre) prescribed burn on September 18 in the Observatory Mesa area to lower wildfire risk and restore forest health, and residents saw visible smoke in many parts of Flagstaff (as expected).  Flagscanner
