  • Pine Canyon donated used lifting machines and fitness equipment worth over $400,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Flagstaff — a contribution that expands the club’s workout options for local youth.  Arizona Daily Sun

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Yesterday, the Flagstaff Fire Department responded to a downed power line in the 10 block of Birch Ave—APS was also on scene as crews worked to assess potential hazards.  Flagscanner

CRIME NEWS

  • On August 30th at 8:55 a.m., Flagstaff Police — assisted by State Troopers — responded to Country Club and I-40 after a driver in a white minivan reported his window was shot out in a road rage incident.  Flagscanner

  • On August 29, the Snowflake Lobos beat the Coconino Panthers 28-23 at Cromer Stadium after both teams traded scores and officials let a late touchdown stand + the Panthers will host St. Mary’s on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m.  KAFF
  • NAU cross country teams took first place in both men's and women's races at the George Kyte Classic held Aug. 30 at Buffalo Park. Alumnus Ryan Raff led the men's race with a time of 22:12.8 and six Lumberjacks finished in the women's top 10—both teams earned a score of 15 and will next compete at the Gans Creek Classic on Sept. 26 in Columbia, Missouri.  KAFF
