- ➤ Today, the City of Flagstaff asks residents to complete an online survey through Sept. 9 so local artists can shape a new 3D art project at the East Cedar Avenue and North West Street promontory as part of the Spruce Wash Wedge Detention Project. - ➤ On Wednesday, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office put several homes in Forest Lakes on pre-evacuation status due to the Sheep Springs Fire—burning 27 acres near Highway 260 between mileposts 286 and 291 and affecting Canyon Point Campground. Fire crews from Washington Fire were moved to fight the blaze while large airtankers worked to control the fire and fire restrictions remained on Tonto National Forest. AZ Family
