- ➤ At 8:25 a.m. today, Flagstaff Police launched a search for a suspect in a black Chevrolet Suburban with California license plates who took an extremely intoxicated woman from outside the homeless shelter at 4185 East Huntington Dr. in Flagstaff & urged anyone with information to call 911. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Forest Service announced today that Kaibab National Forest will follow Stage 2 fire restrictions—opening part of the North Kaibab Ranger District for future use while maintaining safety measures. Local visitors should expect improved access as the changes go into effect. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ Today at 6 a.m., Coconino County expanded Stage 2 Fire Restrictions to all unincorporated areas of Coconino National Forest in coordination with the North Kaibab and Tusayan Ranger Districts and issued a Red Flag Warning for the Kaibab Plateau from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Gusts up to 40 mph and humidity as low as 8% may affect efforts to contain the White Sage and Dragon Bravo fires—residents should follow all restrictions. - ➤ On August 7, Northern Arizona Healthcare unveiled its 2030 Strategic Plan to guide its work over the next five years+ the plan sets goals to put people first, boost clinical care, choose a new hospital site by year-end, and improve financial stability after a $77 million loss over the past two years.
