- ➤ The City of Flagstaff has partnered with Duffy Group to launch a nationwide search for a new city manager after Greg Clifton announced his retirement—set for August 29—and he will serve as interim manager until his successor is chosen. Applications are due by September 12. City of Flagstaff
- ➤ Flagstaff Fire Department is busy this fire season as it works to stop small fires from growing and supports crews fighting big blazes like the one at North Rim. Local crews handled three small fires over the weekend while urging residents to clear space around homes and keep emergency go bags ready (75 firefighters from seven stations). AZ Family
- ➤ Flagstaff City Clerk Stacy Saltzburg was named Clerk of the Year by the Arizona Municipal Clerks’ Association. She has led key initiatives—such as updating City Charter Amendments and instituting hybrid council meetings—since 2018 and earned awards including the NAU MPA Public Service Alumni Award and appointment as an Athenian Fellow.
