- ➤ Flagstaff officials announced that Lee Williams is the new Water Services Director after a thorough review, and he has 13 years of experience in the city’s water department including serving as Water Operations Section Director. City Manager Greg Clifton said his technical skills and calm leadership will guide the division’s shift to innovative water use — officials expect Williams’ expertise to meet the community's future needs — as the city moves ahead. - ➤ Coconino County is working to address an emergency medical services disruption in Fredonia after ADHS ruled that Kane County providers are not certified to operate in Arizona — officials plan to implement measures to restore coverage — and further details are expected. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ Flagstaff roads will have lane shifts, lane closures and shoulder closures this week as crews remove old concrete and patch pavement. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ Concrete removal will occur during the week of July 7 on Beulah Blvd, Lucky Ln and the east side of Switzer Canyon Dr and will result in lane shifts, lane closures or shoulder closures. Pavement patching will take place during the week of July 14 on William Rd, Switzer Canyon Dr, Kaspar Dr and San Francisco St as part of Flagstaff’s annual Road Repair and Street Safety Program funded by a dedicated sales tax.
