- ➤ Earlier this month, Northern Arizona Healthcare recognized 44 colleagues at its fourth annual Scholarships and Awards Banquet. The banquet honored the 2025 scholarship recipients and celebrated their commitment to excellence in healthcare education. Arizona Daily Sun
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Coconino County will expand fire restrictions today at 8:00 a.m. for unincorporated areas in the Tusayan and North Kaibab Ranger Districts in coordination with Kaibab National Forest — all other areas remain under Stage 2 rules. Flagscanner

- ➤ Coconino County Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for vacancies on its new Parks & Recreation Commission in Districts 2, 4 & 5, and interested residents must live in the district they represent. - ➤ Starting June 30, workers will begin striping on Milton Road, University Drive, and University Avenue as the new roundabout on Beulah Boulevard closes on July 2 for these updates. The work runs daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.—except on July 4—and Milton Road remains open while University Drive and University Avenue have revised access. KAFF
- ➤ County Manager Andy Bertelsen appointed Eric Peterson as the new deputy county manager with Peterson set to begin on July 1—he replaces Kim Musselman, who will retire on Aug. 1 after nearly thirty years.
