ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A fire broke out overnight at an apartment building on Center Street — officials are investigating the cause — and fire crews responded to the scene.  Flagscanner

CULTURE NEWS

  • FlagShakes returns to Lowell Observatory with its Bold Summer Season Under the Stars (a double bill of Shakespearean plays that mix deep sorrow with joyful fast-paced parody) to offer a fresh live performance for local theater fans.  Arizona Daily Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Flagstaff will repave and repair asphalt segments of the FUTS trails from late June through September; impacted trails will be closed until repairs are completed. Specific closure dates will be provided later—this project is funded by Proposition 419 approved by voters in 2018.  Flagscanner
  • Coconino County Board of Supervisors will hold public hearings on June 24 (a week from today) to discuss proposed increases in primary and secondary tax rates for the next fiscal year. County residents can attend to share their views on the changes.  Arizona Daily Sun
