CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Charlie Martin, a 12-year-old LEGO Mini Master Builder from Peoria, built a model of Lowell Observatory using 6,000 bricks over 58 hours as part of a global competition—his creation will be on display at LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Phoenix until June 30th and later travel to the Home of the Brick in Billund, Denmark. - ➤ Flagstaff is inviting artists to apply by sending a statement of qualifications for a design team to create a three-dimensional artwork at the roundabout on Switzer Canyon Drive and Turquoise Drive — the deadline is July 1 at 3 p.m. — and the chosen artist will receive a design contract followed by a fabrication and installation contract.
