ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Little America Hotel in Flagstaff is set to restrict trail access on its private 500-acre property due to growing safety, environmental, and wildfire concerns—hotel guests will still use the 2.5-mile loop trail from the resort. KAFF
- ➤ Active management of the lightning-caused Basin Fire located 20 miles north of Flagstaff starts today—fire managers from the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests will use firing operations today and tomorrow to treat 9,000 acres and reduce fuel buildup. Smoke will be visible from Flagstaff with moderate-to-heavy effects expected on Fort Valley Road, and motorists should slow down and follow posted signs. KAFF

- ➤ Starting June 23, the intersection of Riordan Dr and Riordan Ranch St will be closed for one month as the city installs a new water meter and underground utilities.
