- ➤ On June 4th, 2025, officers ended a high-speed chase along Hwy 260 near MP 286 when a 34-year-old suspect from Phoenix, who had been involved in drive-by shootings, did not yield his car and fired at officers before being shot and killed (next of kin notification is pending). Flagscanner

- ➤ Flagstaff is considering changes to its zoning code for high occupancy housing (linked to the 2045 Regional Plan) and held an open house yesterday to gather public input on the proposed amendments. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ The Arizona House of Representatives signed HB 2867—also known as the Antisemitism in Schools Act—to ban antisemitic conduct in public schools and colleges, and the law now heads to Gov. Katie Hobbs for approval. KAFF
- ➤ On Tuesday, June 10th, select roads in Presidio will be closed from 8 a.m. — 12 p.m. and in Crestview from 12 p.m. — 4 p.m. as Flagstaff applies a sealant to prolong road life; residents should park elsewhere until the material dries. KAFF
- ➤ Mountain Line will open its new Downtown Connection Center at 216 W. Phoenix Ave on Monday, June 9 at 8 a.m. after closing its Kaspar Dr. facility to the public at 5 p.m. today—this new building, funded by federal and state grants, features sustainable design and local public art. Flagscanner
