- ➤ The Flagstaff Police Department is asking the community for help in notifying residents about convicted sex offender Brandon Earl James—offender ID 2303704—per Arizona Revised Statute 13-3825; he is not wanted by police at this time. Flagscanner
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Coconino County Community College District Governing Board voted on May 21 to put a $100 million general obligation bond question on the November 4 ballot to fund major improvements and expand training programs across the county. If approved by voters, the bond will transform CCC facilities by creating a new healthcare campus in Flagstaff and rebuilding the Fourth Street Campus to support law enforcement training, construction trades, and other educational programs — all with additional community partnerships. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday—May 31—the National Weather Service office in Bellemont recorded 0.09 inches of rain at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, marking the first measurable rain for the city since 2015. Arizona Daily Sun

- ➤ Flagstaff Fire Captain Neil Chapman testified in Washington, D.C. in May to support the Fix Our Forests Act — which would allow more forest restoration work like thinning and prescribed burns to help prevent wildfires.
