ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On May 9th, at 12:25 p.m., Flagstaff Fire Department and CCSO SAR responded to a hiker feeling ill and possibly injured on Fat Man’s Loop Trail about a quarter mile up the Elden Lookout Trail—officials are managing the incident. Flagscanner
- ➤ Yesterday at 10:18 a.m., Flagstaff Fire Department + NAU Police responded to South Village Apartments on Huffer Ln for a possible gas leak. Flagscanner
- ➤ Flagstaff Police and EMS responded at 12:28 p.m. at Culver’s on E Route 66 to an accident on May 9 where four vehicles were involved—one lane was blocked. Flagscanner

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A federal judge blocked a land swap at Oak Flat — a site sacred to local tribes — to stop Resolution Copper from starting mining plans until the Supreme Court rules on the appeal. - ➤ Starting Monday, May 12, portions of Riordan Rd and Riordan Ranch St will be closed for a new water meter and underground utility installation, and vehicles parked in the area must be moved (or they risk being towed).
