GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Flagstaff announced that reconstruction at the Milton Road/University Drive intersection will begin Monday, May 12 with work managed by the city, Eagle Mountain Construction, and the Arizona Department of Transportation. The project will run Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend work while Milton remains open with one lane in each direction and is expected to finish in summer.  KAFF

  • The Arizona Legislature passed HB2112—sponsored by Representative Nick Kupper—to require adult websites to check users’ ages before granting access, and the bill now awaits Governor Hobbs' signature. The law adds a legal layer to protect children online and sets fines up to $250,000 for companies that fail to safely verify ages.  KAFF
  • Starting Monday, May 12, the City of Flagstaff, Eagle Mountain Construction, and the Arizona Department of Transportation will reconstruct the intersection of Milton Road and University Drive—phasing work to keep traffic moving with lane shifts and closures for University Drive access. Motorists should expect delays as work occurs on weekdays with occasional evenings and weekends until summer.  City of Flagstaff
  • On Tuesday, the Arizona Senate passed H-B 2803, a bill that requires hotels to display signs if they house homeless guests and bans mixed funding for hoteling. Sen.
