ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Today at 2:38 p.m. Flagstaff Fire Department responded to a call at the NAU Hotel and Restaurant Management building on S Beaver St for a possible gas leak — officials are investigating the situation — and further updates will follow. Flagscanner
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Coconino National Forest fire managers announced two planned prescribed burns near Flagstaff next week. The first burn on April 8 will cover 491 acres in the Doney Park/Timberline-Fernwood areas while the second burn from April 9–11 will cover 2,053 acres near Continental/Country Club and close some Campbell Mesa trails—residents are asked to avoid these areas to reduce hazardous fuels ahead of fire season. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Military jets conducted high-altitude takeoff and landing exercises at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport on Friday with several touch-and-go maneuvers—drawing the attention of local residents.
