ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flagstaff is launching dumpsters for pine needle disposal today. Residents can use the units to drop off all organic materials regardless of where the dumpsters are located. Arizona Daily Sun
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Coconino County approved $3.5 million for the first half of the Leroux forest restoration project to help lower wildfire and flood risks on the western side of the San Francisco Peaks. The county aims to protect Flagstaff’s environment with this funding. Arizona Daily Sun
- ➤ The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin pavement repairs on westbound I-40 about three miles west of Williams the week of April 6 to fix damage from a March 2025 crash and fire. Round-the-clock single-lane closures are planned until work is completed in late summer. KAFF
