EDUCATION NEWS

  • NAU School of Communication will host three summer camps — Animation, Social Media and Photography, and Sports and Adventure Media — for high school students from June 15 to 19 on campus with day or overnight options. Parents can register online.  KAFF
  • Northern Arizona University is proposing fee increases for the 2026-2027 school year. The public can comment at a hearing scheduled for 11 a.m. April 8.  Arizona Daily Sun

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Flagstaff's water director said the low water level in Upper Lake Mary is not cause for alarm and the city will rely more on its groundwater wells this year (officials note).  Arizona Daily Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Flagstaff Fire Department and Public Works are placing dumpsters for pine needle disposal to lessen wildfire risks. Residents can drop off pine needles at scheduled sites from Apr. 3 to Jun. 26 — dumpsters are for pine needles only.  KAFF

HEALTH NEWS

  • Coconino County officials confirmed additional measles exposure locations and urge anyone showing symptoms (fever or rash) to self-isolate. Residents are advised to monitor their health and follow guidance from local health services.  Arizona Daily Sun
