- ➤ Miguel Oscar Barajas-Calderon pleaded guilty to attempting to commit a drive-by shooting on Feb. 10 — he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Arizona Daily Sun

- ➤ Flagstaff officials announced the Innovate Green Challenge is open for applications from residents with new ideas to boost environmental sustainability. They said submissions will be reviewed and promising projects will be selected for future implementation. Arizona Daily Sun

- ➤ Flagstaff City Council approved a contract to convert the defunct Sunnyside firehouse into a community center and Councilman Anthony Garcia said the project will activate a part of the neighborhood that has been left idle—work is expected to start in the coming weeks. Arizona Daily Sun
