ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Warm temperatures have limited snow this winter to 8.1 inches (21 inches below normal) in Flagstaff, impacting local tourism. Snowbowl is using artificial snow and more snow is forecast next week to boost the winter season. AZ Family

- ➤ The NAU Lumberjacks fell 78-64 to Montana on Jan. 1 as Montana outscored them in the second half; they head to Bozeman at 6 p.m. today to face Montana State in Big Sky Conference play. KAFF
- ➤ The NAU women’s basketball team won 82-71 against Montana on Jan. 1 at the Walkup Skydome, marking its fourth win with a roster led by first-year coach Laura Dinkins. The team will face Montana State at 2 p.m. today in its next conference game. KAFF
