About this event

Join us for a morning walk along Sinclair Wash, exploring the trail and surrounding habitat in search of passerines, woodpeckers, and raptors. We'll also visit the I-40 overpass to look for ducks, Sora, and birds of prey.

Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Time: 7:30 -10:30 AM Location: Sinclair Wash, Flagstaff Guide: Harry Jones

Meeting Point: Meet at 7:30am at the cul-de-sac at the end of Babbitt Drive (near Sam’s Club)

What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, snacks, binoculars, and weather-appropriate clothing.

About the Location: Sinclair Wash is a riparian corridor running through Flagstaff, providing habitat for a variety of birds and wildlife. The combination of vegetation, open areas, and water attracts songbirds, woodpeckers, and raptors. The area around the I-40 overpass can also be productive for ducks and wetland species such as Sora.
