Are you passionate about performing and want more performing opportunities? Are you looking for more performance opportunities than the student showcase, but you're not ready to audition for Hungry Hearts? Want to learn more about act creation and how to create narrative circus shows? This class is for you! Learn how to act through aerial and circus disciplines from actress, aerialist, and producer Hannah Johnson and create a show together! Learn all that goes into writing a show, creating acts, how to tell stories through movement and circus arts, and work together as a team to create a show from start to finish! Aerialists, partner acrobatics, stilt walkers and flow artists welcome, ages 15+ and adults are welcome. If you're an aerialist, you must have completed Level 1b in your apparatus, or be taking it at the same time. This is not limited to beginner aerial students, intermediate and advanced students are encourage to take part as well! You're encouraged to use any additional talents too, like dancing, singing, or musical instruments! Schedule - Required Weekly Commitment (it's okay to miss one here and there) Show Date: August 16th, matinee 3 pm and 6 pm 2 dress rehearsals: Thursday August 14th and Friday 15th from 5-8 pm Additional Details: A lot of work goes into making a show, and you will get to play a vital role in the production. This will include small admin duties. This could include marketing, hanging up posters, setting up chairs, set design, lighting design, costuming, production assistant responsibilities, and breaking down sets, putting away the seats and breaking down lights and stage elements. Price includes: -weekly 2 hour class -2 dress rehearsals -show prep/being in the show (tickets are $15 for anyone not in the class/show) -costumes and set design/dressing Prerequisites for Aerial Theater Class at Momentum Aerial All students must be: 15 years of age or older In level 1b or higher in at least one aerial apparatus at Momentum Aerial If you do not train currently at Momentum Aerial, or wish to perform a circus discipline that does not have a leveled training program (acro balance, contortion, flow arts, stilt walking, etc)- Students must be training with a coach or cohort on their own time, please no youtube or instagram training in the case of aerial arts! Students may attend a different studio and commute, and provide information on the curriculum or leveling system at their studio Provide a video showing their skill level These prerequisites are not to exclude, but to keep dancers safe. This class requires training on your own time, and the discipline to memorize lines, create choreography, etc without the direct supervision of an instructor. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Momentum Aerial Refund Policy: If you'd like to be eligible for a refund for semester classes, you must purchase a refund protection plan. Paying this additional fee allows you to be eligible for a refund for the remaining credits on your semester pass, starting on the date that you request a refund. -the additional fee for a refund protection plan is 5% of your total semester cost; only available at the time of purchase or registration The refund protection plan ensures that you will receive a refund for any reason (minus the $ amount for any classes attended or have already passed prior to refund request). This refund can be monetary back to the original payment method, or in the form of a credit hold (monetary) on your MindBody account with Momentum to use towards future semesters or classes. Refund protection plans are only available for semester passes. If you choose not to purchase a refund protection plan and are no longer able to attend your regularly scheduled class, all your credits are available to be used towards supplementary classes for the rest of the semester: Open Gym, IT, AOT, Aerial Fitness, Flexibility, Handstands or Weight Training. Semester passes will expire at the end of the semester. We do not offer monetary or credit hold refunds if you have not purchased a refund protection plan.
