About this event

Join us for a morning of birding at Ashurst Lake, exploring its shorelines and surrounding woodlands in search of waterfowl, wading birds and passerines. If time allows, we'll finish with a stop at Mormon Lake Overlook to look for raptors.

Date: Friday, November 6, 2026 Time: 7:30–11:00 AM Location: Ashurst Lake, Flagstaff Guide: Tom Linda

Meeting Point: Meet at 8:00 at the parking area corner of Lake Mary Road and JW Powell Blvd. We'll drive to Ashurst Lake.

What to Bring: Water, snacks, binoculars, camera, scope, sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.

About the Location: We'll explore the shorelines and nearby wooded areas with short walks over natural, uneven terrain. There is limited shade and no restroom facilities, so please plan accordingly. Expect some walking through grasses and shrubs.

Register so we can notify you directly of any updates, including cancellations, delays, or weather-related changes. Not mandatory to attend.
